Values and Philosophy
We provide a bilingual program for children 18 months to 5 years old, following the “ELECT” “Early Learning for Every Child Today the Ontario Curriculum and the “How does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years (2014)”
The play rooms are set up to provide a stimulating environment that invites the children to take initiative to explore and discover in order to foster a genuine love of learning. The teachers observe the children throughout the day in order to become attuned to their individual interest and developmental needs. They set up the room up with a variety of different learning centres based on these observations, introducing new materiel and equipment on ongoing bases.
Our main goal is to provide the best environment
for the growth and the development of the whole child.
Both our Toddler and our Preschool programs allow children to develop social, emotional, language, cognitive and physical skills. All of our Early Childhood teachers are registered with the College of ECE's. We provide two nutritious snacks, one hot lunch, two hours of outdoor play and a rest period every day. We also plan weekly outings on Parliament Hill and the surrounding area as well as bigger outings, for example, to the museum of Nature or to the National Arts Centre.
